Aurora’s annual Retreat welcomes scientists from a variety of research laboratories representing the full spectrum of non-profit, academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The 2012 Ion Channel Retreat is expected to showcase both the importance of new drug discovery research, as well as the importance of producing new screening technologies, while maintaining or improving safety and efficacy of target compounds. The global representation of ion channel researchers at the 2011 Annual Ion Channel Retreat proved that research is continuing, and new technologies continue to be launched.Held in Vancouver, BC from June 25th to June 27th, 2012, the 10th Annual Retreat will welcome scientists from a variety of research laboratories representing non-profit, academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Retreat Objective
The mission of this conference is to encourage scientific discourse spanning the spectrum of ion channel disciplines. Researchers from both academia and industry from around the world will be able to establish connections and exchange fresh ideas to accelerate ion channel research, high throughput screening, safety screening and drug discovery in an enjoyable and relaxing environment.
2012 Ion Channel Retreat Photos
Meeting Format: The 2012 Ion Channel Retreat is a 3-day meeting. Program sessions cover several diverse areas of ion channel research. Speaking presentations begin on Monday June 25th and end mid-afternoon on Wednesday, June 27th. Poster presentations will be available for viewing during all session breaks.
